Rosie's Challenge - Day 2

30 Days of Truth... Rosie's Challenge - I decided to take up a 30 Day Challenge about myself. It will probably take more than 30 days to complete but I am willing to make the effort to get it done. Click here to get the list if you are interested in joining in... peace out yo!

Day 2: Something you love about yourself.

Something I LOVE about myself? I love a lot of things about myself. I love that I don't go with the norm on fashion trends... if I think it looks good, I wear it. I don't really care if it's not in style or if I'm stepping outside the box for most people. I don't think that I have that great of a fashion sense but seriously... you know when something looks good or if you just look stupid.

I also love my eyes. I'm not trying to be conceited or anything, but God played a mean trick on me with giving my the swamp foot so, to keep it even, he blessed me with some pretty incredible peepers. I have green eyes... not hazel. That matched with my dark hair is a pretty rockin' combo.

These are two things that I love. There are plenty of things that I don't like, but I'm at a rocky period in my life right now. I am learning to love myself and be secure in the person I am again. Last year my self esteem level got at an all time low, and I am in the process of building myself back up. It takes time. One step at a time. I don't look in the mirror and get disgusted anymore... now I can look and smile and begin to be happy with who I am, and who I am becoming.

Proverbs 31:30 ~ Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Good post.

Keep your chin up.

I know how you feel about self esteem, I have never had any.

I came here from Mynx's blog party. You're right about your eyes. Like others, I love the verse. In fact its the verse that defines our women's group at church - Proverbs 31 Women.

I stopped by from Mynx's party...I'm gonna be hurting in the morning...and decided to follow. Loved this post and read over a couple others. I am crazy jealous of your green eyes...I love green eyes and secretly long to wake up on morning and realize my honey browns have gone green!

I have never been one to look in the mirror and like what I see, but as I get older I appreciate 1) that I am still here and 2) that all of the lines, wrinkles and age spots are earned.

Jewels - Thank you for following. Sometimes I wish I had brown eyes... I love brown eyes. I think they are super sexy.

Laughingmom - I am starting to appreciate many things about myself, including the battle scars that give me two beautiful children.

Love the photo and the eyes. A person's eyes are the first thing I notice!

The most beautiful thing about you is not your eyes! It's your sweet heart! Don't ever doubt you are a beautiful person. If you do, call me. I'll remind you that you are beautiful inside and out!!! Buck is a lucky man!!
